FAQ

After-Sales

Q: Who do I contact if I have an issue with a purchased Credit Pack?

A: If you encounter any problems while purchasing or using a Credit Pack (e.g. payment failure, credits not received, refund requests for accidental purchases), please email us at tencentdesign@tencent.com. Be sure to include your Ardot user ID, order number, a description of the issue, and any relevant screenshots so we can assist you as quickly as possible.

Features

Q: What can I do if the AI-generated results aren't good enough?

A: The new workflow has been upgraded, significantly improving the quality of UI and icon generation. The AI assistant can now recognize vague intents and will proactively ask follow-up questions when information is insufficient, helping you pin down your design needs. We also recommend using the following prompt template to refine your prompts: Generate a "[category] [page type] interface + [mobile/PC] + [feature module description] + [style description]".

Generation quality is also closely tied to the underlying model. We currently offer multiple models — you can switch between them in the chat box to see which works best (DeepSeekV4 is recommended). Ardot also supports connecting to more third-party models via the MCP protocol, and we are accelerating integration with high-quality overseas models to continually improve generation quality.

Q: What if AI generation is too slow?

A: We hear you — slow generation can be frustrating. We've already made significant optimizations on both model inference and the engineering pipeline, with noticeable speed improvements, and more is on the way. (Generating UI with AI is genuinely more complex than generating a single image — it has to understand layout logic, component relationships, and hierarchy, and produce editable vector elements rather than just a bitmap.) While waiting, feel free to continue with other work — the AI will keep working in the background.

Q: Is there a plugin system?

A: Most plugin functionality is planned to be covered through MCP integration. If there are plugin needs that MCP doesn't address, please submit feedback and we will prioritize them accordingly.

Q: Is there a public component library?

A: There is currently no official public component library. We recommend using local components or importing existing Figma component libraries. A public component library is planned — stay tuned for future updates.

Q: How do I use local fonts?

A: If you need to use local fonts while using Ardot, please refer to Install Local Font Service.

Q: I can't find prototype interaction settings in the right-hand panel — where are they?

A: Prototype interactions are currently on our roadmap but not yet supported. We understand this is a must-have for many users, and we are pushing this forward as quickly as possible. Stay tuned.

Account

Q: What should I do if I've run out of credits?

A: Each new user receives 1000 Credits upon registration. If your credits are exhausted, you can connect to a local model via the MCP service to continue using it for free. In addition, Credit Packs are now available for purchase if you'd like to top up.

Migration

Q: Why can't CoDesign prototypes be imported?

A: Due to the underlying implementation of CoDesign's prototyping feature, prototypes do not exist as standalone files within the platform. Instead, they are dynamically generated from multi-dimensional design association logic, interactive hotspots, and transition configurations. Because of the data structure at the time of upload, this data cannot be packaged and exported as a universal offline prototype file.

Q: My team is already using Figma — is there a migration cost?

A: Ardot is deeply compatible with Figma and supports importing .fig files directly, preserving layouts, styles, and components in full. The interaction model, shortcuts, and layer management are all highly consistent with Figma, so designers can pick it up with virtually zero learning curve. You can switch over seamlessly without having to relearn a new tool.

Q: Can I export source files for offline storage or cross-team migration?

A: Exporting to a local source file is not yet supported, but a native Ardot file format is on the roadmap. In the future you will be able to export private design files that can be saved offline — supporting cross-account/cross-team import & migration as well as local backups. Please bear with us a little longer.

Q: When will the Windows version be released?

A: The Windows version is now officially available! Head to the Installation Guide to download and install it.
